Get a minisforum MS-01/02 it has 2 x 10gb (X710)sftp ports, and 2x 2.5 gbit utp. You can get with intel(01) or AMD (02) cpu's. It's small and performs perfectly. Only the battery fails after some time, so when it does not boot anymore. Just replace the battery, 3 min work. I use opnsense on proxmox.

I have three minisforum ms 01. Each has three ssds two of which are dedicated to ceph. Works quite well. They also fit a 25G NIC and 96GB RAM (if I recall correctly). Edit: I guess my budget was a bit lower, but you can go for smaller/fewer ssds and RAM

yes I agree Intel AMT is not easy to set up and sometimes it doesn't work. I have an Intel NUC and never really get it to work. Not sure why, but for my Minisforum MS-01 it is working, but it has two nic ports.
