Well... i tested each of it
Tried ROG XAX and MSI Claw 8AI+ both, thought the performance and screen is superb, the rest is a downer (loosy Sticks, D-Pad, Vibration). On the other side the ROG XAX was great, but the screen just too small. I guess i'm waiting for the next handheld with Intel panther lake then.

Another MSI Claw 8 AI+ vs XBOX Ally X post
I’ve had both, and to me it doesn’t matter how big the screen is when the device is uncomfortable. Plus, as you’ve mentioned, the MSI software is absolutely dogshit and, quite frankly, an embarrassment. I’m not sure about prices where you are, but the Claw is also £100 more expensive in the UK. One

Thinking of coming back to the Xbox Ally
I also had a bit of a buyers remorse after getting the Xbox Ally X due to the 7 inch screen, seeing how everyone praises 8 inch handhelds and the Lego 2.And I seriously considered selling it and getting MSI CLAW 8 AI+ just for the sake of the bigger screen. But then I found a spot that had the MSI Cl

Should I get MSI Claw 8 AI+?
The downside for me on the LeGo2 has actually been the screen being TOO big, feels like standing too close to the TV. Also having to turn the brightness up much higher than on the claw. Which means way shorter battery life. Stupid MSI for nerfing their own product by giving it horrible ergonomics.

Claw 8 or steam deck
I have owned every handheld, most recently the Legion Go 2 and MSI Claw 8. I hate picking up my Claw 8 and always steal my kids Steamdeck LCD... because it's just so much more comfortable and easy to use. After using Xbox FSE, it is a lot better, but it's annoying to open up steam separately. Most o

Any area or games in which Claw 8ai+ fails compared to other handhelds
Im in the same boat as you , trying to decide between the Xbox ally x and msi claw 8 ai.. like you said, on paper the msi claw is better. Current issues is that , msi has hall effect while the x box ally x doesn't. Im not sold on intel delivering game ready driver updates. The claw has been out a lo

Claw 8 vs a8 Which one would be good?
I've had both the 8AI+ and the Claw A8 and the A8 is about the be returned. This is personal preference, everyone is different... The A8 does not feel as premium as the 8AI, the plastics feel cheaper and they've made the fans smaller to allow larger SSDS to be fitted so you get louder fans at idle.

Msi claw I do not want it any more
Lol I’ve since returned the claw and I 100% agree. It’s ridiculous how bad the ergonomics are. Idk what MSI was thinking. I got the LG2 today and maybe it will be better. Haven’t tried it yet

Alright so I am returning the polar and got the sandstone. I am in another 60 day return window.
So at this point, I have tried these handheld’s in this order. XBAX, Claw8ai, LGS, LG2. By far the least comfortable and actually borderline painful to use is the Claw. I know. I’m surprised too. I really wanted the claw to win because as I said, it is such a beautiful and powerful device, but MSI f

Alright so I am returning the polar and got the sandstone. I am in another 60 day return window.
So I just now threw on the screen protector and case onto my LG2. I’ll start with my issues with the Claw 8ai. The flat design in combination with the trapezoid shape. This left me feeling like I had to push my palms towards each other in order to hold a device up. I mainly game while laying in bed.
