Baseball has become unwatchable in the face of media deals.
I gave up on Nord a few years ago, and didn't bother to try any others. It worked fine for a bit, and then suddenly stopped. You could try fiddling around with different locations, but it started getting to the point where I'd spend 20+ minutes, and be lucky to get it to work. What's weird is that t

People stop asking chat gpt..... Stop trusting a dumb computer language model that's made to sound smart while it's just a program that scraps everything off the internet and tries to present it in an intelligent way while itself doesn't understand a word off it. But to answer your question, look in

Rant incoming - I'm about to cancel my subscription.
I feel exactly the same way, even though I have years left on my subscription. I’ve moved over to another VPN provider that provides essentially the same basic functions that I need without all the garbage and honestly is a lot easier to config. Of the time when NordVPN was king but I’ve gotten so b

Best VPN
They are pretty similar, I've been using NordVPN for years and and switched to SurfShark recently and it's slightly smoother, always fast, better app and better value. But not a huge difference.

That's not an entirely fair comparison, most people wouldn't consider iOS or Android to be "computers" in the traditional sense and work very well with Tailscale, plus some streaming devices are just Android boxes and can also run Tailscale. It isn't always the right tool for the job but for someone

Rant incoming - I'm about to cancel my subscription.
I stopped using their client once it became a browser based login clunker. I use OpenVPN mostly and have been very happy. Never had a problem without a kill switch, or other "services" Nord offers. I just want a effective VPN tunnel and OpenVPN (and/or Wireguard) does that well ...

NordVPN
I had a nightmare trying to install a GUI for nord, and ended up starting all over again. What works really simply is: Log into your Nord VPN account Find the manual setup section. Download the certificates for the countries/servers you want to use. Get your username and password. Then manually setu

What is the oldest NordVPN version on Windows that's still supported?
The oldest NordVPN version for Windows that is still supported is 6.45.10.6, released in December 2024. It's called the "legacy app", and it predates the 7.x.x app versions. It can be installed on Windows 7, 8.1 and 10, including 32-bit editions of these Windows versions. The 32-bit edition of Windo

Is Cachyos right for me?
Thank you! I have next week off work so thought I’d reinstall the latest version again and see how it goes. If I run into the connectivity problems, will definitely reach out and see if it can be fixed. I used the command line for installing NordVPN, but when I tried to put in my credentials, nothin

Is Cachyos right for me?
I couldn't get my (nord) VPN to work at all, I couldn't find any "app" that I could install and it would not work when I tried to command line stuff. I doubt I would have been able to use it in terminal even if I could get it working. User error. I use nord all the time. Search nordvpn on arch linux
