can't trust any of them tbh

it does what every VPN does. it changes your IP so it appears you're connecting from another country, but they rely on scare tactics like "every site knows your exact location" while offering a "solution" that doesn't solve anything at all. most sites know when you're using a VPN, so it's not some m

Getting discount on HBO.

It’s absolutely sick that someone could just buy a VPN like Nord that’s often heavily discounted for years or service, then google “how to download qbittorrent and install plugins”, then sign up for Plex for free and create a media server for free and stream all their pirated content safely and easi

YSK that 88% of "free" VPNs leak the exact data they promise to hide. The app you installed for privacy is probably the most surveilled app on your phone.

Never had issues with Mullvads speed You are free to use whatever VPN you want, if Nord fits your needs more power to you, but personally I will never use that over priced data harvester

Best VPN

They are pretty similar, I've been using NordVPN for years and and switched to SurfShark recently and it's slightly smoother, always fast, better app and better value. But not a huge difference.

Are people really persuaded by YouTube sponsorships?

Yep, exactly. A few months ago my friends decided it's time to invest in a VPN to reach shows behind stupid region lock and told me they got Nord VPN. I was there thinking internally "is paying for that really the best option instead of a different one, or is that just the one you've heard the name

vpn in china

Mullvad, 5 bucks a month, works well (some servers work better than others). I never got Nord to work and Let'sVPN stopped working in China. Edit: There's a pinned post in the chinalife subreddit with up to date info on VPNs.
