It's a problem with any VPN that doesn't allow port forwarding, Nord included. You can use it, but you will be limited on what torrents you can access with low seed numbers. For popular torrents with tons of seeders, the difference is minimal.

Try switching the city. I use nord VPN for British shows. But only Glasgow and Manchester work (Manchester sometimes gets burned), but the default of London barely ever works. As for the US, not all work either but I think Hawaii I’ve used without issue
