On a flight, being asked to not put your bag in the overhead bin

I carry on an Osprey Daylite 35L backpack and inside is a Bellroy 6L Venture Sling. It goes under the seat and the backpack goes up and I’ve been asked a time or two to take the backpack down and the “it’s the larger of my two items” works every time.

Daylite 26+6: 3 day weekend trip

Osprey Daylite 26+6 packed for a 3 day trip to Arizona. Budget airlines and the Daylite 26+6 is a match made in heaven 🙌🏻. Plenty of room to spare, no need to expand the bag.

Do you run to work?

I run home because I don’t have a place to shower but I use the osprey daylite, you can definitely run with a lighter laptop but anything heavy gets annoying really quickly.

Absolutely floored having discovered what parents are expected to spend on school bags here. Is it normal?

Osprey Daylite Jr. is only 9l volume, thats a kindergarden backpack. A normal ergobag backpack has 19l volume. Normally the bigger backpacks cost more. I think it mainly a shopping issue. You want something decent for Our children and if you go to school backpack shop the prices there start all at a

Osprey Daylite 26+6 Front Loops

Officially, they are part of Osprey's attachment system where you can attach other backpacks (like the Daylite or the Daylite Plus) using their buckles. I've done this on occasion and it works great, though the back does extend out a bit so you have to be careful in crowded places.

Personal item in addition to your one bag?

I only use a single Osprey Daylite 26L+6 bag that counts as my personal underseat item. It's 75% full during the warmer months and 90% full during the colder months. This is enough for me for indefinite travel, as I do laundry at my lodging. This way I'm never forced to gate-check a carry-on for a f

Tom Bihn vs. Osprey

I own both Ospreys but the Osprey as Daylite 26+6. The fairpoint/ Fairview is a great backpack for real backpacking imo. I did 3 months Southeast Asia with it and loved it. Super sturdy and comfy. Nothing rly breaks this beast even when overpacked. Love the hop strap to lighten the load on my should

What’s the one bag you didn’t regret buying after real travel?

Osprey Daylite 26+6. It's not a fancy bag but everything about its design is fantastic. I choose this over my Aer TP3 every time, which I'm going to sell.

Osprey Daylite 26+6 $82

I own the Daylite. The Daylite is a superb pack. It's inexpensive, well-organized, the perfect personal-item size (even fits RyanAir), and lightweight. But it looks like a travel backpack. The reason one might buy the Transporter is the more premium fabric and sleeker EDC look. The difference betwee

Cabin-only Europe travel with a freestanding tent - realistic or stupid?

I did my research into the Osprey Daylite 26+6 and it’s an admittedly snug fit, but there are a few things to note: On the bag -• I’m 6 foot 4 so any personal allowance bag will look smaller on me,• The bag is quite firm and rectangular and doesn’t bulge in a way that draws attention,• And it will p
