Osprey Farpoint 40L VS Salkan 35L
I have the Osprey 40L Farpoint and I love it. I don't like to check a bag ever so I use it to travel and to hike. It's been my main bag for multiple long hut treks in Nepal, Peru, Iceland, Patagonia and for Kilimanjaro. It's a solid bag. Sometimes I pair it with an Osprey 15L bag if I need some more

Struggling to Choose the Right Backpack for Travel + Overnight Hiking
I think you're asking too much here. Although one of my friends uses a Kelty Redwing (36?) this way. He says it's tough to get all his multi day stuff secured though. I actually don't own a travel backpack per se. You see the Farpoint 40 recommended a lot. Despite that, it has a just-ok harness (but

(need advice) Osprey Farpoint 40 vs Kestrel 38
I love my farpoint 40 but I will NOT be using it for my Camino. I am searching for a different pack with a water bottle holder (main reason) and other random straps and such for random gear. That being said, the harness is the same as other osprey bags so it will be comfortable walking all that time

Bag Finder Megathread - 18 May 2026
When I travel at minimum I take a carry-on, a laptop bag, and my CPAP. I would like to try and combine my carry-on and laptop bag down to one bag and have it easier to carry than trying to maneuver a piece of luggage around people. I'm looking at the Osprey Sojourn Porter 46L, the one without wheels

Osprey farpoint 40 recommendations for packing cubes
i like small cubes because they fit my clothes well the way i regularly fold them. I can’t justify the price of brand name cubes; it’s not that brand name cubes are specifically made to fit that brand’s particular backpack. If osprey made a set of 4 cubes that fit their farpoint 40 near perfectly i’

40L osprey vs forclaz 40L, 1 month SA backpacking trip
We’ve been traveling for about 10 years with two Farpoint 40s and it’s been more than enough . Never been refused has carry on bags in many discount airlines . Whatever bag you choose take it for a 1–2 km walk before leaving home , stuff is going to be removed when you get back home. Osprey Farpoint

Traveling with equipment
Osprey farpoint 40L is my go to for my gear, and I also have the day pack that clips onto the front. The front of the backpack has loops you can put bungee thru - which you can then use to attach a good pair of travel fins to - my RK3s fit on there nicely! I use this setup for my hydros pro, and I c

First Europe trip: backpack vs hybrid wheeled backpack vs luggage for long train travel?
I mean I didn’t mine helping her up stairs of course. It just slowed us down a couple of times when we were running late for a train haha. More outlets will are cool with you packing them out to see if they are fit for purpose, are returning if not. I have used an osprey farpoint 40 in the past at t
