Struggling to Choose the Right Backpack for Travel + Overnight Hiking
I think you're asking too much here. Although one of my friends uses a Kelty Redwing (36?) this way. He says it's tough to get all his multi day stuff secured though. I actually don't own a travel backpack per se. You see the Farpoint 40 recommended a lot. Despite that, it has a just-ok harness (but

It fits! Osprey Stratos 34L is the winner!
I was able to carry the Stratos 34 onto the plane with no problem. I had a small backpack that stuffed into a little pouch. I would take my travel CPAP, battery and some other items out of the Stratos to make it look smaller. I was never questioned about the size. I wasn't even asked to gate check o

Looking for ideal all in one gym backpack
How big is that in liters? Anyway, I have two candidates for you. The Mystery Ranch 2 Day Assault Pack - it doesn't meet a lot of your bullet points but I have one, I love it, and I think that in terms of actual function it would be great. And the Osprey Metron 34, which is a lot closer to your bull

Looking for a hiking pack that is also good for safely carrying a camera
I hear Osprey Stratos 34 is a very popular choice among photographers due to its large zip opening and excellent suspension. Pair it with a Lowepro GearUp Box of the size appropriate for your kit and you’re good to go.

Osprey sirrius vs stratos (34Liter)
Osprey should have some notes on what torso length they'll fit. That's one of the differences. The other is that the straps on the Sirrus most likely have a more pronounced curve. Honestly that's not supposed to make that much of a difference for men. So I think you should figure out your torso leng

osprey stratos?
I bought the Stratos 34 from REI but returned it before I ever used it. I didn’t realize there is a Stratos 34 and 36 and I had them confused. I traded it for a 36 which I like more because it is top load. It just suits my packing better and I don’t trust that zipper to hold stuff inPretty much the

Onebag + multi-day hiking (Patagonia / Salkantay): 35–40L hiking pack that still works as carry-on?
Sort of? TBH, I didn't try. I did the Kumano Kodo trail in Japan, staying in inns, so a similar hut-to-hut trip in that sense. But I also brought a really big roller with clothes for before and after and that I used to shuttle home some souvenirs. Anyway, I bought my Osprey Stratos 34 for that trip.

Daypack for hiking AND under seat EasyJet size
The Easyjet size guideline you posted multiplies out to 32 L. How strict are they about fitting in the box? The Osprey Talon 22 is very popular and I see them on planes a lot. A couple of the dimensions are in violation, especially length, so how aggressive EasyJet's enforcement is is important. Do

What would you say is the ideal pack size, brand and name for the Camino de Santiago?
Good to hear. I walked the Norte with the Osprey Stratos 34 and it was really comfortable. I am walking the Tour Du Mont Blanc this year and then continuing on to other places so I bought the Osprey Farpoint because the Stratos wasn't really easy to get in and out of. Did you have any issues at all
