Let's talk about Kobo and Kindle
I like this question. My bests have been PocketBook Verse Lite and Boox Go 6. I am curious about the Kobo Clara as well. The Verse Lite is my best because of all of the formats it takes (including NetGalley ARCs), battery life, dark mode and it supports multiple library cards. The Boox Go 6 is a run

Suche mini ebook Reader
Un

What e-reader are you rocking, and what do you like about it?
I have a PocketBook Verse Lite. I like that it is a simple, light device, and I'm able to read library books on it easily. Additionally, having no ads and some light games on it is wonderful to me, as the battery life is nice.

Cheap e-reader alternatives to Kindle?
PocketBook Verse Lite is possibly the cheapest “mainstream” option new - I see the PocketBook Spain store has it for 119 euro. There’s also inkBook (Polish I think) … Android eInk devices with not particularly good hardware specs but I would think that for just using one reader app at a time, should

Decision fatigue
I can’t share a picture so I’ll share my review about one of my ereaders at the end of my comment. It has pictures in it. I enjoy the Pocketbook Verse Lite. The gesture customization, support for library books (Libby integration coming at some point), true dark mode are all things I enjoy. Also, I c

A case for PocketBook Verse Lite - My impressions
First thing I do when people think of buying the Verse Lite is recommending the standard Verse. Being able to change colour temperature for reading in the dark is a huge plus, buttons for page flipping (or at least assign stuff to if you don't use them) and the battery is 50% larger. SD card slot is

Open source reader?
PocketBooks might work, if they’re available and you don’t mind slow menu navigation (I’ve heard that as the main complaint about them; haven’t used one myself)? Available in a variety of sizes, account not needed, supports multiple file formats (I think it supports Adobe DRM epubs and, I believe, R

Basic function e-reader recs please!
I think a new PocketBook (Verse Lite / Verse) might be your best choice unless you specifically don’t want to get another PocketBook. Kobo Clara (or an older Kobo if you can find one second-hand) is the other realistic option. There aren’t really many other mainstream brands with at least semi-reaso

PocketBook vs Kobo vs Kindle (real opinions only)
I got you. Can’t speak on Kindle but I can speak on Kobo and Pocketbook. I have had a Kobo for a month now and Pocketbook for months (don’t ask how many I have tried/owned 🙈) Anyway: Ease of use: Kobo has the edge on this one. I factory reset it to resolve something and it was easy to set it back up

Used ereader
Where should I look? Which country are you in? I’d guess in some countries, eBay is still also an option. (In other countries, not so much - even when finding a seller that will ship abroad, shipping costs & import fees can make buying a used device pointless. So it’s location-dependent.) If you’re
