PocketBooks are fairly notorious for being slower in most things (other than page-turning, meaning it’s perfectly fine for many people) compared to other dedicated devices, and Verse Lite (which isn’t Android, to be clear, so no Moon Reader possible anyway!) is their cheapest / most “budget” device.

I don't know how "blue" the light on the Basic Lux is, but I guess not that blue since you can't change colour temperature (just a guess). The standard Verse can adjust colour temperature, and since you can keep an ereader for years, whatever you pay more will in the long run be not even that much.

The question colour or not can only be answered by yourself, and you already did it. If you are willing to accept the disadvantages, try it out. Do not take the Pocketbook verse lite. It is too slow. Take the pocketbook verse pro only, it is much fast and has a better screen and it does not cost much more (I think).
