Polar’s new wearable is screen-free, subscription-free and a direct competitor to Whoop
The upcoming polar loop is a screen-free fitness tracker with interchangeable bands starting at 179.90€ from the well-known fitness watch brand Polar 🇫🇮. It competes with Whoop and Amazfit’s existing screen-less tracker the former famously requires an expensive subscription to use (and no more free u

Is the polar band still bad? (Help)
Depends what you're searching for. Polar Loop is better in HR accuracy than Whoop 4.0 and Helio Strap when worn on the bicep. It's a dumpster fire like the others when worn on a small wrist like mine. Sleep tracking is good. Activity tracking works and has a daily goal with three options to choose f

Polar Loop for sleep & passive tracking : thoughts ?
Hello, I'm using Polar Loop for some time. The only issue I have is that sometimes it counts some activities of my life as a workout. For instance, if I'm on a rush walking at good speed from on point to another, and climb stairs from on floor to the other at the facility, that combined with stress ra

Doubt whether to buy
That’s exactly how I use my Polar Loop. I wear my V3 for training sessions, and when I get home I synch it, turn it off (saves battery life), and put on my Loop for the rest of the day. Since the latest firmware updates I have found the Loop’s heart rate tracking and sleep tracking to be flawless. A

Loop megathread
In the week that I have had a Polar Loop 2 I have found the OHR to be virtually identical to that from a Garmin Edge 500 during bicycle rides. I think the image shows that fairly well. The only differences come when I stop - the Loop keeps recording, the Garmin pauses.

Vantage M3 vs Loop
I use it the same way you describe, mechanical watch on one hand and loop on another. I started with automatic workout detection but it's not very accurate so I moved to manual (if you have a polar watch it's less of an issue). I found the HR to be very accurate on the wrist (compare to H9). I don't

I built a personal wearable MCP to avoid Polar App and get weekly health rundowns in Claude
Fair enough, I have been using whoop and withings and once a week exporting my data to CSV and running through it with Google Gemini. This definitely looks like it will streamline the process. Im not renewing my whoop and I have a polar loop too so this looks like it's popped up at the right time. T

Loop megathread
I see a lot of people posting about this, so I’m just going to post an individual comment. The solution to a non-syncing polar loop is to hard reset. Just press the reset button while it is charging and set the device up again. Unfortunately, you will lose any data that wasn’t previously synced. How

Polar Loop is a disaster
Preface this with saying I am not an athlete - far from it. I exercise every day on a rowing machine and walking. I have not worn the Helio since getting the loop. I have worn the loop daily now for 4+ weeks. I find the loop's physical profile much nice/acceptable for all day use. When I did wear th

Polar Loop is a disaster
Well it will do that - insights on general activity, trends, and heart rate. I feel that it does those things well, with these caveats: The Flow app on iOS and the web give you access to a large amount of data - heart rate, sleep, steps, sleep evaluation, etc. However from what I have seen and used,
