As a Whoop user (soon to leave them) I hope they lose. Polar looks much better. And any person with a single brain cell can see the difference between Loop and Whoop from 10 feet. If Whoop reaaaally wants to go this way, then Helio Strap is more similar to Whoop in terms of looks, imo.

Polar doesn’t charge a separate subscription. I use the loop which is a wearable band but not a watch, so no screens etc.

If you want to skip whoop because of the subscription, Garmin is probably the easiest choice if you need GPS and proper training data. If you’re okay with something simpler and screenless, polar loop or amazfit helio are closer to that style. I’ve also used panther eclipse for steps, heart rate, SpO
