Lets share some British products and services that we might not know about.
Q Acoustics is a British audio speaker design company, a little pricy, but well reviewed. I really like their M20 USB/bluetooth speakers, which are equally adept at being your living room TV speakers as they are at giving your PC some proper hifi audio.

Guidance for Vinyl Setup
The Q Acoustics M20 fit in your budget. They are really pretty decent. The have lots of connectivity options, but no AirPlay. I like their look, but not everyone does. If you can get a deal on a used KEF LSX II il or the LSX II LT, they will meet your needs but might be out of budget. Hope this help

Extremely limited space
Please note the rules. (Rule #6: Only stereo. No soundbars.) Soundbars have their own subreddit: r/Soundbars. (Pretty much no where else are they recommend here on Reddit. Need advice for multiroom setup for both vinyl and digital (~€1000)
Besides Denon and HEOS, you could also go with WiiM products. For example with WiiM Pro Plus (ASR review) for your turntable room (because of the better ADC), and either WiiM Pro or WiiM Mini for the other room. Additionally you might want to consider slightly increasing your budget for some better

ELAC Debut ConneX DCB41 for desktop speakers
As the other commenter said, we probably don’t know specifically about any longevity or usability issues with any products. (Unless we happened to own that particular device. Then we might have personal knowledge if our unit had or didn’t have any issues.) Also hiss is fairly common issue with power

Does this setup work?
No worries, it's all a good buy, but especially the q acoustics m20, you probably would not get better sound for the money with an amp and passive speakers and of course the box counts is less, therefore tidier...

What speaker should I use
Well, for powered speakers, there’s the $500 Q Acoustics M20 HD (UK page) (SECRETS of Home Theater and High Fidelity review). And since it doesn’t have a built-in phono preamplifier, here are some options: Fosi Audio Box X5 (ASR review) Schiit Mani 2 (ASR review) iFi ZEN Phono 3 (ASR review) Art Pro

Rca to USB C, will it work?
The Q acoustics m20 are 300ish. I’d take those over most other powered speakers at that price point. Maybe Argon Audio or Audioengine as alternatives.

If you could go up to 500€, then you would have these two options: Q Acoustics M20 HD (SECRETS of Home Theater and High Fidelity review) ELAC Debut ConneX DCB41 (SECRETS of Home Theater and High Fidelity review)

Trying to salvage a gift (speaker advice)
In Europe, for a 500€-600€ powered speaker budget, maybe look into the Q Acoustics M20 HD (SECRETS of Home Theater and High Fidelity review).
