You may be interested in Samsung 970 EVO Plus, WD Blue SN570, or Kingston NV2. Any of the Gen3 NVMe drives will work well, as they are all fast and quite easy to find when compared to Crucial. Just select the one that is the cheapest for you.

i feel you on being scared to open it up. your AN517-54 has two m.2 slots and they're both pcie gen3, not gen4. that crucial t500 will work but it'll run at gen3 speeds (about 3500mb/s) so you're paying extra for speed you cant use. id grab a gen3 drive like the samsung 970 evo plus or crucial p3 in

upgrading nvme on a inspiron 3020
ngl i've done this exact upgrade on a 3020. the motherboard supports any m.2 nvme size as long as it's pcie gen 3 or 4. i dropped a 2TB Samsung 970 EVO Plus in mine and it recognized it immediately. the WD Black SN770 is another solid pick that runs cool. just make sure your bios is updated first. d
