Need opinions on my first High-End 3D/Gaming PC Build

The ChatGPT recommendation about the Samsung 990 Pro 4TB over the Gen 5 SSD makes sense, the real world speed difference is barely noticeable and you get double the storage. Also that CPU choice is... interesting for 3D work, a lot of people would say go Ryzen 9 instead.

How do you preserve longevity of your SSDs?

First of all, I gave up on ZFS for this very reason. First of all, ZFS itself does not cause write amplification. Wrong pool geometry (RAIDZ instead of mirror), changing volblocksize does. Maybe CoW a little bit (ZIL). But that is all negligible in a home setup. Home use here, so it is what it is. I

Title: Best RTX 5070 Ti model for my build + SSD recommendations?

The Asus TUF or MSI Gaming X Trio would be solid picks for your needs - both have excellent cooling and run pretty quiet while not breaking the bank with unnecessary premium features. For the SSD, skip the FireCuda 530 and grab a Samsung 990 Pro or WD SN850X instead, they're usually cheaper in Germa

How would you improve this for £300/$400?

That Samsung drive is really fast, but unless you're using it for work it's a bit pointless. Look into real world gaming performances of gen 4 vs gen 5 ssd's. Spoiler alert there's close to 0 difference. That being said you could still make an upgrade to the ssd. There are 2 nand types in ssd's, QLC

Am i getting a good deal? need for work PC

Seeing your use case, this build isnt for the use case and neither is this optimized For your use case get: Processor: Intel core ultra 250k plus (max 28-29k) or 270k plus ( max 42k) If you dont get these take Intel Core Ultra 265k since the before mentioned are in short supply right now Motherboard

Need More Advice!

You're absolutely right about everything. However is it just to save money on switching out the SSD? I keep reading how the Samsung 990 Pro is extremely reliable, and is great for the long run. I thought maybe that made it a premium SSD which is why it is pricey.

Debating if I should finally get an SSD for my PS5 🤨

I got a good deal a few months ago on a 1Tb Samsung 990 Pro. It’s worth it as I have the newer 825GB Slim model. I wanted 2Tb but realistically I don’t need that much storage. I only play one game at a time and have another lined up for when I finish what I’m currently playing through. My son also r

Good 2tb SSD drives for $400 or under ?

for the 2025 g14 you want a single-sided ssd to avoid heat issues. at $400 you've got great options. Samsung 990 Pro 2TB runs around $280-320, hits 7450MB/s, and the magician software helps with thermal monitoring. WD Black SN850X 2TB is similar performance around $260-300. if you want to save a bit
