Good, that i stumbled on this conversation. Was looking forward to buy GW8, but as SHM MOD was killed by Samsung, I will not consider GW8 as option, as I will never use a Samsung smartphone.

Look out for the GW8. If the GW8 comes and we are still getting 1 to 2 days with moderate apps running (pedometer, messenger, heart rate notifications). There are adapters for regular, straight-ended bands, like the one in the middle of the 1st picture I attached. It's adapters for gapless bands I haven't found yet, as they seem to not exist. PSA: if you do switch to the GW8, be careful when purchasing new bands/adapters from non-Samsung sources. I'
