I just measured the distance from the seat to the top of the armrest, for both my old Steelcase Gesture chair and Libernovo. Libernovo: 7" Gesture: 5.5" So there is a big difference between the two! But also, as I explained, you need the arm rest to be lower if you're reclining. This is a universal

What did you think was pretentious, until you tried it and realized it was worth it?
On another note: Steelcase gesture sucks. 1000 dollar chair. Insanely uncomfortable. The armrests are great though. I had to buy multiple cushions to make it decent. My 100 dollar Staples chair is miles better than the Gesture.
