My honest review about Tapo camera
Never had even one of the issues you mention. And you are comparing one of the lowest models of the Tapo camera to some of the best reolink. What's the point? Nice reolink ad.

Ofc! These are Amazon USA links but you can find them elsewhere if you need to. Kasa Smart Plug for Lights (I plug the normal lights into this plug for the timer) Bluetooth SwitchBot Thermometer/Hygrometer Inkbird WiFi ITC-308 Thermostat (in my experience, this always says it's about 4 degrees coole

Training Recording device
In that vase there are a lot of very simple and very cheap cameras on amazon and everywhere else that are very small and hang off a lanyard, no flash needed. Later on you'll want a better setup for public videos, but if it's just for you there are a bazillion available out there. I'm in a different

Thieves in garden checking bike, anyone know immediate steps i should take?
Change the security light to one with an audible chime. A security light will not deter a thief at 3am, but noise may well do. I have a Tapo camera inside the garage that sounds an alarm if set off during an out of hours schedule and also alerts my phone. It was only £20 but is indoor only. I’m sure

Has anyone used Secuview for home security in Qatar? Looking for feedback.
The best is to just get a lot of Tapo Cameras connect them wherever you want and connect them to wifi, then connect them all to a machine with "Frigate" installed on it, then you have all the data and recording and AI features and detection and it's very reliable and most impotantly, free 😄

Is a brand like Tapo solid/reliably enough for home security?
We have 8 outdoor Tapo cameras and they work fine for us. They are PoE/wired to the network and not using the WiFi capability built into them. The cameras can be configured to record to a NVR and we had one for quite a few years but I shut it down recently. We have SD cards in the cameras and use th

Looking for a good wireless security camera system.
Have more than 20 TP-Link Tapo cameras, wireless, RTSP and writing to SD card as well. Cheap and works great but all related on your wifi configuration - I have several APs as the house is big so bandwidth is distributed among them.

Tapo camera got hacked? How’s yours?
Security 101. Block the cameras from having access to wan. Bot nets can only reach your device if you are stupid enough to make them available on your wan. Tapo Cameras are fine, this is nothing more than user error. A camera that cannot be reached, cannot be hacked from the outside.
