Good coffee maker for better coffee at home?
Technivorm Moccamaster, the absolute gold standard for coffee machines and it does go on sale at Amazon regularly; you’ll pay for it but it makes drip coffee that tastes like pour over in a consistent basis and it is very easy and quick. You also want to make sure you are grinding the beans fresh in

What’s the most obvious case of a company ruining their own product on purpose so you’d have to keep buying replacements?
I went through a few auto drip coffee makers. I lucked out with a Cuisinart at Costco prices. My next coffee maker will be a Moccamaster. It's designed to be serviced and repaired. It's also damn near a thousand bucks.

So disappointed ...
I think the Moccamaster was one of the first brewers to provide the correct water temp / flow, at least that became popular. The reputation from this plus they do tend to last a long, long time (I have one that is still going strong after 20 years) make them worth it imo. As for taste two things. On

Is upgrading to a Moccamaster actually worth it if I’m fine with my cheap drip machine?
Honestly the biggest factor is what is your financial situation like? If dropping $300 is going to cause stress in other aspects of your life, then a Moccamaster is probably not worth getting. If you are in a comfortable spot financially, you’ll be happy dropping the money even just to see the machi

What are the pieces in your home that are worth the price tag?
A bidet attachment on every toilet. Moccamaster coffee maker. EGO brand lawn care equipment (plus the power inverter, it comes in handy if your neighborhood is prone to outages). Boot trays (one for each entrance if that’s possible).

What’s an expensive brand that actually IS worth the money?
I recently bought a MoccaMaster coffee maker on sale for ~$200. I specifically bought it because it’s serviceable and they make replacement parts. So far so good.

First there was garlic bread, then cake. Now, we have coffee ☕️
Horse and Harpe decaf is where it's at IMHO. The "bitter" flavor of decaf only happens because the grounds weren't frozen fast enough after decaffeination, and/or were transported too slowly at too high of a temperature. Caffeine preserves the coffee normally so decaf is much more perishable as a re

Favorite coffee machine??
Technivorum MoccamasterAt about $325.00, it's an expensive choice. However, it is a one time purchase (because of modular construction which allows for replacement of all parts), has a boiler with a lifetime warranty, and happens to make superb drip coffee. When I add up the many coffee makers I've

Them Dutch made my Moccamaster and it’s definitely overpriced but I love it. Would hate to have to go to war against my coffee-maker makers.

Switching from a Keurig - is it worth the money over a Ninja etc. ?
You should buy the Moccamaster if you want the following: A coffee maker that makes really good coffee A coffee maker which, if it breaks, you can send in to be fixed for ~100 $. If neither of those things appeal to you, especially considering the price, I'd suggest you keep looking. No ninja or Keu
