Entry level from mainland EU
I have two pairs of Dali speakers: Spektor 2 and Oberon 3. I'm happy with both. In a bigger room, the Oberon do "fill" the room better, probably because of their bigger size/bigger woofer and naturally more powerful bass. Thought the Oberon would kill your budget, so Spektor 2 could be a great entry

Yes he should consider all the others, and there are more you didn't mention like the triangle br03 bt or maybe br04 bt, don't remember exactly. I would also highly consider normal powered speakers fed by a wiim ultra, or passive speakers of course, fed by a wiim amp ultra. The downside of the kefs

First day with my new Setup
From my triangle br03 the r3 are a massive upgrade in almost any way (especially bass response & clarity). I still wonder how much adding a sub would have changed but decided against it bc of aesthetics
