How do I stop monitor wiggle?
Cross brace definitely. I don't think just new legs are going to do anything without horizontal support. I have an UPLIFT desk which is very stable. You can see what their frames look like here: https://www.upliftdesk.com/adjustable-height-frames/ and try to get something similar

WFH folks, what's YOUR best pick of Height Adjustable Standing Desk? Do you really use it?
I've had three standing desks over the last 7 years: Started with a VIVO dual motor from Amazon; broke just after 3 year warranty mark Replaced with Uplift V2 C-Frame in 2021; made a custom top; killer desk, I still have this in my shop Currently running SecretLab Magnus Pro; even more killer of a d

Best standing desk for working from home long hours?
Technical writer here who’s been WFH for years. Go electric. You will absolutely not crank a manual desk up and down 4 times a day, so it’ll just end up becoming a permanent sitting desk. Uplift V2 Commercial. It’s rock solid with multiple monitors and has a crossbar that kills the wobble you’re wor

What are the best standing desk in 2025/2026? Is Wirecutter right?
imo the uplift v2 is still the best all around. I like the stability, quick smooth height adjust, and customization options with the memory presets and different top finishes

looking for the best standing desk for 2 monitors and a laptop that feels solid
Stability is the right thing to focus on — the gap between desks in this regard is genuinely large and easy to miss in reviews that don't test under load. A few things that actually predict wobble vs. solid feel at height: Frame gauge — wall thickness of the steel matters a lot. Desks that don't pub

Is stretching the budget for a high-end standing desk actually worth it?
man, i feel you on the budget stretch. i went for the uplift v2 a while back and honestly, it’s been a game changer. super sturdy, even at max height with my dual monitors and a bunch of books piled on. like, no wobble at all. only thing is, the assembly was kinda annoying, took me way longer than e

Differences between V3-2 leg and the V2-4leg standing desk? Did I make a mistake?
I seriously doubt there are any issues leaving it out. This desk is sturdy. The Uplift sales rep said I could leave it out too but I was so worried about wobble I didn’t. Not worried anymore :-)

Does anyone else paint sitting back in a recliner?
In general you should definitely get one! They're so good for body ergonomics, especially if you're taller. There are so many options out there for brands. You can go cheaper and semi DIY with a brand like StandDesk where you can buy the sit-stand part from them but make your own desktop or there's

What is the best standing desk for wfh?
ugh the back pain is real, been there. honestly go electric - manual crank desks sound fine until you're adjusting multiple times a day. what worked for me was getting a desk with a crossbar for extra stability. i've been using an UPLIFT V2 Commercial for 3 years and it doesn't wobble even at full h
