AiPaper Mini

I wanted to like the Viwoods mini but the software was so bad. That was about a year ago. Has the software stack improved noticeably?

Thanks for the tip. But the feature of an offline dictionary came bundled with the device in its native reader in Kindle. Zu KI: Ja, es wäre super, wenn man die standard Ki für Texterkennung einstellen könnte und den eigenen Account eintagen unnd benutzen könnte. Zur Textübersetzung: Warum bekommen Hersteller wie z.B. bigme es hin, Sprachen intern, offline und on demand zu übersetzen und das Aipaper/mini leider nicht.

Yeah I did the Long Press clear data thing several times but no joy. Agreed with ai paper and mini it was fine. I still have not gotten mine working so am not pleased. Viwoods team emailed me directions but they were exactly the same as what id already been doing. Argh.

A few notes about Viwoods AI Paper Mini. uses older Carta 1000 if you care about contrast no gyroscope, so no autorotation. Manual rotation is limited to the select few of their apps for now. Viwood: ai paper (mini or something), bigme: 751, 751 lite, 1051 Meebook: M8 Bigme and Meebook are android. Sadly, both have glitchy software (or so I've read). Meebook would be the cheapest. The bigme ones have bw and colour versions.
