I used to have a pair of the lovely Wharfedale Denton 2XP in a small office I used, they indeed sounded great and I loved their round and warm sound!

So that budget gives you lots of options. More if you considered used. Wharfedale generally has a warmer sound. Denton 85th Anniversary; Lintons or Linton 85th Anniversary if you have room.
