The 2C wired isn't compatible with switch unfortunately. You'll have to go for the Bluetooth edition. Imo 8Bitdo has a big problem with product variation with the ultimate series for this reason.

Not me getting hella excited because I also has a 8bitdo ultimate 2c controller before realizing mine isnt compatible with switch or switch2 🙃😭

I wrote 8BitDo Ultimate 2C on Amazon and got several of them with the A button on the bottom instead of the right. Have you tried there?

Natively, I don't think its possible. An option you do have : use 8bitdo software to map those buttons to a macro (for example I use a double tap of l3 or r3) then in steam you can set whatever input you want to a double press input of them and boom, custom key. Clunky but it sthe only way I've got

People are brain dead. People keep arguing about the 8bitdo Ultimate 2C and stuff and while it’s good, the controller isn’t in the same bracket as this or the Elite controllers

I have both gamesir nova 2 lite and 8bitdo u2c, some guy mentioned that people might be bias in this sub here, I mean sure but I will stay as unbiased as possible as I owned both to give out my opinion. In short, nova 2 lite wins, don't even bother thinking of getting a 8bitdo u2c. The biggest downs
