Most reliable brands - just starting my search

Beyond major OEMs, the majority of these Chi-NUC brands haven't been in the NUC/mPC manufacturering long enough to provide a long-term reputation. A couple of years ago, Acemagic, Beelink & Minisforum were the preferred brands. In 2025, AooStar, Beelink & GMKtec have become more popular. Beelink cur

Do you recommend I buy an Acemagic mini PC?

Bad support, cheap parts, known to have pre-installed malware. The issue with a lot of Acemagic/Kamrui/Acemagician miniPCs is that, even if you do a fresh install of Windows, the drivers for the insanely obscure parts like wifi can only be found on obscure chinese websites or forums.

Howโ€™s guys experience been with Acemagic S1 or S3A minipc?

Due to concerns with CYX (Acemagic, Acemagician, Kamrui, NiPoGi, etc) build quality & customer service in the past couple of years, most Redditors on this subReddit have moved on to AooStar, Beelink, Geekom & GMKtec as a long-term investment.

How realistic are the reports of rapid failure, spyware, etc...?

Here's the perspective of Chi-NUC brands from more than 4 decades of PC repair. Understand that these are PCs which do not have registration requirements for warranty or regional centers for repair. Their primarily in the category of consumer electronics one purchases off the shelf from a local reta

Best (brand/model) Ryzen 5XXX constantly below $250?

Products manufactured by CYX understand the MiniPC Union umbrella (Acemagic, Acemagician, Kamrui, NiPoGi, etc) have questionable build quality & customer service over the last couple years, noticeably once they switched from Cezanne/Barcelรณ to the much cheaper Zen 2 Lucienne. Something that became e

Horror stories putting me off

The downside of a raspberrpy pi is that sd cards dont last forever, especially when doing heavy reads and writes constantly (like an os does) they can die pretty frequently requireing changing. How cheap are we talking? I'm thinking if all you need to do is run some file server, transfer some files,

Is there a cheapish mini PC that supports 3x 4K monitors?

As stated before, CYX manufactured mPCs (Acemagic, Acemagician, Kamrui, NiPoGi, etc) aren't necessarily known for build quality, durability & customer service in recent years. For the best results, one would look for HDMI 2.1 4K60Hz/12.56Gbit/s bandwidth support for a mPC. 5120x1440@60Hz 32:9 DQHD "

Ace Magic, Kamrui

No. Although since the malware debacle 2 years ago, CYX manufactured MiniPC Union (Acemagic, Acemagician, Kamrui, NiPoG, etc) haven't been known for build quality or customer service, making them a budget brand akin to TopTon.

AceMagic in 2025

My general recommendation for everyone buying prebuilt computers from any brand is to reinstall the OS because it is free and easy to do. Alternatively, for the incredibly lazy, run a windows full scan or malwarebyte scan which are free to use. Otherwise, I have been testing the Acemagic F3A, F1A, a

Which one or see notes

These are actually the same CYX manufactured mPCs (Acemagic, Acemagician, Kamrui, NiPoGi, etc) in different cases. In the past couple years, these Chi-NUC brands haven't been well received when it comes to build quality & customer service ๐Ÿ˜ž IMHO, the DDR4 Beelink MINI S13 & DDR5 Geekom Air12 are "Be
