LG Display unveils world’s first 240Hz RGB stripe OLED panel

You're probably overthinking it. I've got an Alienware AW3423DWF about 2 years old. During the day I use it as an external monitor connected to my work laptop, with largely static Windows screens. After work, I use it for gaming and general purpose Windows usage. It easily gets 60+ hours/wk of usage

New OLED: 1440p or 4K?

34 ultra wide 1440p is the sweet spot for me. I’ve got the first gen Alienware qd-oled and it’s been great with my build.

AW2725DF vs AW3425DW Panel/Display

They should be fairly similar. I run an AW3423DWF alongside an AW2725DF, and I don't see much/any variance between them.

Overclocking oled monitors/tvs

I've overclocked my UWQHD OLED AW3423DWF from 100 Hz to 120 Hz with HDR. It can do 165 Hz without hdr, but only 100 hz with hdr out of the box. Have managed to get higher frequency than 120, but wanted to stay at the 2x 60 Hz threshold to reduce tearing. Been running that for a couple of years by no

How can I improve my setup and how good is it 1-10 (be brutally honest but please still give advice)

Mostly perfect, but I would up your monitor game. If you ever use discord (or even if you don’t, it depends) then I think that’s reason enough to get a second monitor. I recommend oled, I currently use the AW3423DWF, as it was the best bang for buck I could find. I also really like the ultrawide cur

Is 9070 xt worth for 4k gaming?

If you’ve got some extra clams lying around I highly recommend oled. I got the Alienware aw3423dwf on a pretty decent sale and I love it. It’s a 165hz panel though, but I choose fidelity over frames so 165 is pretty good for my needs.

PSA: Limit your framerate!

Had that issue on the Alienware QD-OLED before. Turns out it was just faulty and the replacement has no flickering at all.

What are the best recommendations for a 34" 1440p monitor with decent colour range at a good value price?

I didn’t think I would want an OLED either, until I got one lol. I snagged an Alienware AW3423DWF curved QD-OLED for $499.99 several months ago. I freaking love it! What’s your budget? Amazon prime days are coming sometime in June this year. Competitors may follow them 🤷‍♂️

MPG 321URX OLED care is wildly disruptive; has activated 3 times in last couple of hours

linux makes monitor firmware updates a pain. you could spin up a quick windows vm with gpu passthrough just to run the msi updater. or borrow a friend's windows laptop for 20 mins. if you're looking to swap, the Alienware AW3423DWF and Samsung Odyssey G8 OLED have less aggressive panel care cycles.
