New OLED: 1440p or 4K?

34 ultra wide 1440p is the sweet spot for me. I’ve got the first gen Alienware qd-oled and it’s been great with my build.

Neglected my Series X

I went with the Alienware AW3423DWF. They’ve updated it with the AW3425AW that improved the refresh rate from 165 hertz to 240. EDIT: Most media has the black bars on the side as it’s not ultrawide compatible (YouTube, Netflix, etc.). The vast majority of games on PC have ultrawide support and I’ve

1440p or 4k for rtx 5080

I have the same setup, except a 65" LG C5 + AW3423DWF. 5080 is a beast and can be overclocked like crazy. I haven't found too many games where 4K max settings is an issue. But for those multiplayer games I want high frames I'll always go my ultra wide monitor

How can I improve my setup and how good is it 1-10 (be brutally honest but please still give advice)

Mostly perfect, but I would up your monitor game. If you ever use discord (or even if you don’t, it depends) then I think that’s reason enough to get a second monitor. I recommend oled, I currently use the AW3423DWF, as it was the best bang for buck I could find. I also really like the ultrawide cur

Buying a 34” curved monitor for Ableton. What should I actually care about?

I have a 34" curved display, here's a link if you want to check it out: https://www.amazon.com/Alienware-AW3423DWF-Curved-QD-OLED-Monitor/dp/B0BP94J8VD Anyways, the things you mentioned only matter if you will be doing anything else with music production, for example gaming, video editing, graphic d

Is OLED worth it?

I use the the AW3423DWF and its the best. It is my first OLED and I use it for about two years now. No problems at all and I would not go back. 1440p ist what you want in my opinion. 4k is just too expensive on your hardware for what you get in comparison. the slight curve is perfect and once you pl

Monitor for 5070

I have a 4070S and I use an AW3423DWF. OLED, 1440p, 165Hz, 21:9. I recommend a 21:9 because they're amazing. At least 120Hz. Oled looks amazing but it's expensive and can get burnt if you don't take care of it or if you like playing at max brightness. Whatever you do, don't get a 1080p, get a 1440p.

Ultrawide Monitor support 21:9

I’m currently running an Alienware AW3423DWF, 34” ultrawide 21:9, 3440x1440 165hz Gsync OLED. I’ve been on ultrawide since 2015 or so, I won’t ever go back. It’s great for gaming and movies (a lot of movies are film in the wider aspect). The earlier years were rough as a lot of games lacked support
