They should get her an Amazon kids tablet. Cheap($70-100), has a THICK foam protector, and comes with a year of kids Amazon free time. Not sure why they are fine with her just destroying things.

Accidents happen. She needs a Kindle Fire Kids, or something that's resistant to falls, until she gets old enough to manage her device.

We've always used the Kindle Fire Kids tablet because I really like the parental controls. You can lock it down really well so that it only has the apps and videos you approve.
