Kindle or Boox 🤔 (or something else entirely 🫣)

Considering Kindle is locked in with Amazon and they're literally rendering their devices obsole, the answer is: anything but Kindle. I have a Boox Go 7 Colour and it's about the same size as a Kobo libra, which is a great size for reading. I got my husband one for his birthday since he wanted an er

This case makes holding my Boox Palma way more comfy

This is wonderful, you've created a Boox Go 7 without the peskily large display area.

If XTeink decides to make a bigger device, I think this is the ideal size

There are so many great 6-7" e-ink readers already. Not saying xteink couldnt make their version of such a device a great one but to me the size of x4 and x3 is what really differentiates them from the competition. I have the Boox Go 7" and the x4 and to me that's the perfect combo - Boox at home an

What is so bad about Boox ereaders?

So I have to say that this was not true for my Boox Go 7. I came on board expecting to have to install a bunch of apps, or at least replace what I presumed was going to be a crappy ereader/ui.... But no, the Boox Go 7 BW out of the box just functions as an ereader. There's no installing anything unl

What is so bad about Boox ereaders?

I came from the kindle to Boox Go 7 in October and it shipped with a stable UI, a good reader, and it's all integrated. You wouldn't even know it's Android if you didn't look for it.

Why are B/W button devices dying out?

Most PocketBooks have BW versions and come with buttons. Otherwise, yes - no current dedicated e-readers. There are at least a few Android devices like the Boox Go 7 that have BW versions as well, but it definitely is an issue. :-( ETA: As for my thoughts .. it sucks, LOL. My Oasis 2 is dying (batte

The best e-reader for danmei?

I use a Boox Go 7, but any of the android e-readers could probably work just as well! On mine I use a light weight browser (eink-bro or fennec) for web hosted translations. You can enable Reader Mode at the top of the search bar to trim down the website page so it's just text and no extra webpage el

Onyx Boox will release Poke 7 on May 21st 2026

I thought I didn't need the buttons before getting my Boox Go 7, but now I will never go back. They are so convenient

Idk why people keep complaining boox is complicated and it takes time to get used to it

I just got the same device and I love it! With that said, I understand why people warn about complications: If you're new to e-readers AND android, then this device is not just a unbox and immediately start reading. You have to learn the navigation, android OS, how to get books, how to side load (BO

AO3 on my kindle

I got an Android ereader over a Kindle/Kobo specifically so I can read AO3 on a good browser lol. I love my Boox Go 7. It has page turn buttons that work on webpages!
