Best Tablet For Comics?

Kindle Colorsoft isn't an option, because that uses the Kindle ebook platform, not their AOSP Android-based OS for Fire tablets. A Fire tablet can work, but you'd have to either hack it to install Google Play Services or sideload. Best bang for your buck is the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ 64GB. It was on

Kindle to Kobo?

I switched from Kindle to kobo and prefer kobo. It has a better UI, no ads anywhere, and overdrive integration. I downloaded all my kindle books before Amazon got rid of the download feature, so they were easy to de-drm with Calibre. I'd advise that, even if you stay with kindle, you download and ba

Why get Kindle when Kobo exists

I own three kindles (very old paperwhite, refurbished oasis, and 2023 basic) and I got a kobo libra color this past Christmas. I doubt I’ll ever buy another kindle, for a variety of reasons— not the least of which being the fact you don’t have to jailbreak a kobo to use KOreader. The original reason

2025 kindle scribe colorsoft vs 2024 remarkable paper pro, I want a device for note-taking, reading colored comics and reading eBooks mostly textbooks in .pdf files. Which device should I get?

I currently have both. RPP is the best for note taking and more open OS. Scribe Colorsoft is best for reading ebooks/comics and being able to write notes within your ebooks. I enjoy writing on the RPP more. Scribe Colorsoft doesn’t require a paid subscription for cloud syncing or searching handwritt

Good E reader for beginners?

Color: Kobo Libra Colour / Kindle Colorsoft Text-based books: Kobo Clara BW / Kindle Paperwhite My personal recommendation: Kobo Libra Color. It’s the most user-friendly for sideloaded content.

Hoopla/Libby/Internet Archive

In my opinion the Boox Tab XC is the best color device for magazines. The only negative is the size is a little bulky but when you see the readability on a 13 inch screen vs a 10 inch screen there's no comparison. So, it depends on your use situation. If you want something easy to hold then the Note

Any NetGalley users impacted by the older kindle support dropping?

They work pretty well. I traded in my 2012 kindle fire towards a colorsoft earlier this year. I wasn’t using it often, mostly just for comics and graphic novels, since I had another ereader but it functioned normally (just shorter battery life).

What kind of features should I look out for?

I have two readers - a Kindle Oasis from 2019 and a Pocketbook Era I just got recently. I like the Pocketbook more than the Kindle but only because I've become familiar with non-Amazon sources for books. As far as the two devices go the Pocketbook is more finicky, has quirks the Kindle does not have
