Kindle pw 12th is superfast, vs KLC
These are two different displays technologies. Its like comparing tomatoes and apples. Black and white is of course faster then colour. Compare the same kobo with a kindle colorsoft.

Could Apple's OLED iPad Mini Finally Be a Kindle Killer?
The weird thing is I don't think the Kindle is a loss-leader for Amazon anymore. I really wanted a Kindle Scribe Colorsoft, but $700 is a tough pill to swallow when iPad Air costs far less. But I still can't buy into the iPad as a notebook replacement with the current tactile feel and glossy display

Kindle Paperwhite vs Kobo Libra Colour — which would you keep? 😭
I bought a KLC, returned it, and bought KL2 instead. I have an old paperwhite, and i felt the screen was brighter on that compared to KLC, and the KL2 was on sale at the time, and a lot brighter. I prefer Kobo due to the buttons, and I don't like the Amazon ecosystem and DRM, which were the reasons

I have a confession…..
I’ve been struggling with the Colorsoft. I find I have to adjust the warmth and brightness with a frequency that’s a nuisance. The battery also drains fast. I read for the whole day after Christmas (8ish hours) and it went from fully charged to dying. In comparison to the Paperwhite, which took like

Kobo Libra Colour vs Kindle Colorsoft – Which would you keep?
Ive used both (not the colorsoft but the paperwhite and the scribe) and I'd go with the kobo. For me, the closed ecosystem cancels out most of the positives of the kindle. I hate wearing golden handcuffs.

The short version is, ereaders have made it difficult for me to read physical books anymore. I have been with kindle ever since 2011. I got the Kindle Touch in 2011. Then a Kindle Paperwhite 2nd gen in 2014. A Kindle Paperwhite 10th gen in 2019. Kindle Paperwhite 11th gen in 2023. I branched out fro

Kobo Libra Colour vs Kindle Colorsoft – Which would you keep?
I had both, and kept the KLC and returned the Colorsoft Frankly I just like the Kobo OS much more and love that I can mod and customize it freely with no hassles. Also feels good not giving in to Amazon’s monopolistic Kindle ecosystem, but that’s a whole other discussion separate from the quality of

My new buddy, hopefully for a long time ❤️
I have the Era Lite since Monday and after a few starting problems (I wanted to send it back initially) I'm now very happy with it! I love the open system and the UI, Libby App and even the few "games" are fun. I also have the Libra Colour and Colorsoft but I don't really like the darkness of the Ka

People who moved from Kindle to Kobo, how different is the experience really?
I got a KLC and ended up returning it because I just missed Kindle. 😕 I know that’s like blasphemy in this sub, but it’s true. Things I missed:WhisperSync- This is probably the biggest one. I love that the Kindle keeps a cloud library for you, and it keeps your location in sync, as well as saving yo
