[April 2026 Megathread] UX Feedback & Feature Improvements

Hello Boox :) My feature request: Feature: Export searchable handwritten notes as PDF The Friction: When I export my handwritten notes, they lose the ability to be searched on my computer or my iPad. Your Suggestion: Amazon Kindle has the option to export a searchable pdf with my handwritten notes.

Why in the heck did she need the brand new expensive kindle scribe when she NEVER shows herself reading?! As an avid reader still reading off a 1st edition kindle or borrowing books from the library I’d love to have one but could never imagine paying that much for one. She is so ridiculous and privi

Boox or Scribe or anything else?

Remarkable cannot read Kindle books without stripping the DRM. I wouldn’t recommend them for use as an ereader. Definitely very awkward compared to a Kindle or Kindle app. My main complaint with the Scribe (I have the original) is that it lumps everything you side load into the library, so I can’t h

For Ao3 reading: Cheaper Kindle vs Smaller Kobo vs Expensive Boox?

Amazon has a bad habit of deleting files off Kindles, yes - but it’s files transferred under specific circumstances. (Specifically, it seems to be “azw3 files transferred via USB, if they have an EBOK flag set instead of PDOC, so the Kindle sees them as “books” instead of “personal documents”, and d

Looking for imaginary note-taking device

If a device is pocketable, then it is too small to read PDFs on it. The closest compromise is an 8" device like the Viwoods Mini or the Supernote Nomad. You can read/annotate PDFs and write on them, and they will fit in a coat pocket. A little cramped, though. The only truly pocketable e-ink devices

Kobo -New/Refurb

As the owner of (and I use all of these) a Kobo Forma, a Kobo Clara HD (BW), a Kindle Scribe, a used Paperwhite, and a used Kindle basic 10th gen — AND as an Amazon employee — I’d recommend the Kobo. Its software is better, it has Libby integration, and you’re not hopelessly entangled with the whole

What to buy?

I have a Kobo Forma and a Kobo Clara HD (B&W) as well as a Kindle Scribe, an older Paperwhite, and a 10th gen Kindle Basic (I got the last two used). (DISCLOSURE: I work for Amazon.) My preference? Kobo all the way. The interface is better, they’re faster, and you’re not saddled with Amazon’s “you o

Boox Go 10.3 gen II : Lumi or not ?

Barely impossible where I live. I was kinda saving to buy Gk 10.3 but after the ghosting issues I will unfortunately go back to amazon mobi prison with the Scribe. Edit: forgot to add thanks for the reply :)

Portable device with Notetaking abilities. No bigger than 8 inches.

Issue with the scribe is it's friggin huge and heavy. My go 7 2 is great and I have to enjoyed it quite a bit over my other devices. the 'grain' doesn't annoy me but I've also not used a color soft. Also at this point fuck Amazon and their ecosystem. Last year they stopped me being able to download
