It’s wild an IPad is a better deal than a kindle scribe.

The weird thing is I don't think the Kindle is a loss-leader for Amazon anymore. I really wanted a Kindle Scribe Colorsoft, but $700 is a tough pill to swallow when iPad Air costs far less. But I still can't buy into the iPad as a notebook replacement with the current tactile feel and glossy display

I’ve honestly never seen someone so discontent with life, ever. Now she needs a $300-400 Kindle Scribe? Like she needed that expensive electronic calendar? Like she needs several $17 rolls of wrapping paper? And weekly date nights? And 5k a day…because she can’t NOT have some sort of disordered goal

im gonna second this, i have regrets now after buying the scribe and not exploring other options more before hand. Amazon is as anti consumer as they get now.

Thinner chassis doesn't make as much sense in e-readers as customers need to be able to hold the device.
