[April 2026 Megathread] UX Feedback & Feature Improvements
Hello Boox :) My feature request: Feature: Export searchable handwritten notes as PDF The Friction: When I export my handwritten notes, they lose the ability to be searched on my computer or my iPad. Your Suggestion: Amazon Kindle has the option to export a searchable pdf with my handwritten notes.

Built a latency-free, e-ink typewriter for screenwriting - AUTEUR
It is unbelievably stupid that Amazon won't allow using a keyboard with the Scribe. (Oh, and also that they store your drawing files in a proprietary format.)

For Ao3 reading: Cheaper Kindle vs Smaller Kobo vs Expensive Boox?
Amazon has a bad habit of deleting files off Kindles, yes - but it’s files transferred under specific circumstances. (Specifically, it seems to be “azw3 files transferred via USB, if they have an EBOK flag set instead of PDOC, so the Kindle sees them as “books” instead of “personal documents”, and d

Looking for imaginary note-taking device
If a device is pocketable, then it is too small to read PDFs on it. The closest compromise is an 8" device like the Viwoods Mini or the Supernote Nomad. You can read/annotate PDFs and write on them, and they will fit in a coat pocket. A little cramped, though. The only truly pocketable e-ink devices

Kobo -New/Refurb
As the owner of (and I use all of these) a Kobo Forma, a Kobo Clara HD (BW), a Kindle Scribe, a used Paperwhite, and a used Kindle basic 10th gen — AND as an Amazon employee — I’d recommend the Kobo. Its software is better, it has Libby integration, and you’re not hopelessly entangled with the whole

Remarkable2 or Scribe for note taking?
Scribe is reading first device. Note taking features are possible and are ok, but are lacking when compared to competition, even remarkable. Idk about kindle ocr but remarkable's ocr is respectably good. It still depends on handwriting style mostly. For example, while supernote ocr is perceived as s

Best comic reader; RMPP or Scribe Colorsoft?
If you’re planning to use PDFs, skip the Kindle Scribe Colorsoft. I had all my comics and magazines in PDF, tried importing via USB, and lost all the colors. And the “Send to Kindle” option has a 200MB limit which is just annoying. I use the Paper Pro exclusively for comics and magazines since it’s

Amazon to end support for older Kindles, prompting user outcry
From this article, Amazon is removing the ability to sideload purchased ebooks via USB onto Kindles, but you’ll still be able to sideload non-Amazon ebooks via USB—the ability to sideload isn’t going away. https://blog.the-ebook-reader.com/2025/02/19/things-to-know-about-amazon-removing-download-and

Ask Me Anything About My E-Ink Tablet Collection
I got the Kindle scribe colorsoft. But for what I do for a living I wish I could load up a large (D size) PDF and zoom in to mark up with color and not have the scale of the pen size be so thick. I'm thinking maybe I should have gone for something else. What e ink would have satisfied this unique ne
