Linus Torvalds goes back to a mechanical keyboard after making too many typos

Yeah, I'd say that for sure, you want to reduce resonance with clickbar switches. My first "hobbyist" MK was an Anne Pro 2 with Box Whites, and when it was stock, the click of the switches in the empty case was, as you said, piercing. I muted it with a bunch of foam to fill the void inside the case,...

/r/MechanicalKeyboards Ask ANY Keyboard question, get an answer - March 08, 2025

When activating one key, its whole row activates, this applies to every key also. Any suggestions to the problem? The board is a used anne pro 2 which I (admittedly) did a pretty bad job desoldering and resoldering back before the issue started to occured. Thanks in advanced!https://imgur.com/a/juTj...

By far Anne Pro 2 is still one of the best 60% stock keeb out there

I know this post is old, but I bought an Anne Pro 2 back in January of 2022 and it still rocks, no issues whatsoever. It has gone through 2 sets of PBT keycaps already. Any recommendations for an upgrade?

You bastards ruined me

The Anne pro 2 is one helluva gateway drug. Learned a lot from modding that thing before moving to custom builds.

Low Profile Keyboard Comparison : Lofree flow lite 84 vs nuphyair75v2

and the software is just bad VIA has been better for me than any proprietary driver. It has no limits and blocks on "system" keys. I have full control over the layout. I completely reprogrammed my RK61 using just the web app from 15 wacky layers emulating the legacy RK firmware to a tight 3-layer se...

June 20, 2025 Weekly "General Help Post?" - Please post all general, recommendations, and help questions as a top level comment under this post. Thank you.

http://www.jikedingzhi.com/downloadlist?driverID=41latest Linked in the instruction manual. I see there's an open source alternative on github too. But the keyboards Fn key can't be remapped and it doesn't seem to support mod tap, which are my deal breakers (I like the bottom right keys as arrow key...

Chatter and missed keys for Anne Pro 2

Oh no, sorry to hear that. Yeah, I'm curious too what cleverness the Anne Pro 2 is running. More elaborate debounce algorithms do exist, like the one described in this Hackaday article is interesting. Generally, the raw input can be interpreted as a binary-valued time series, and many debounce algor...

Meetion 60% keyboard – arrow keys never worked since day one

Honestly, this seems hugely inconvenient to me. It does. A few boards have tap-and-hold arrows where they act as arrows when you tap them and modifiers like shift and control when you hold them. This was pioneered by the Anne Pro 2 and copied by the Ranked Nova N60 and the latest Skyloong GK61. If y...

How to use arrow keys?

Map fn, right windows, shift, ctrl into arrow keys and map fn into right alt. I used this when I had anne pro II.

Too used to your script and having to use another computer

It's so freaking hard to use other computes without my CapsFN layer. Like right now i'm editing this very comment input box and I use Caps+Z\C to move between words (Ctrl+Left\right), Caps+Q\E for home\end, Caps+X for enter, Caps+WASD for arrows. If i have to use a computer for long enough time i fi...
