Do you need a MacBook Air with a m1/m2, if you have a ThinkPad X390 Yoga?
I have both a MacBook Air M3 and ThinkPad X390. The MBA has literally 2-3 times the battery life and a much better screen. However, I prefer the keyboard of the X390 and it is slightly more compact and easier to hold. You also have to see which platform has all the required apps you need for your li

What is the best computer for vector drawings?
You’re already in the Apple ecosystem with the iPad, so I would suggest sticking with a Mac. You don’t need anything overpowered for Adobe Illustrator, just something that runs smoothly when files get a bit more complex. A MacBook Air (M3 or newer) with 16GB RAM is a sweet spot. Fast, portable, and

Purchase suggestion
16gb of ram would be a big improvement and the screen and performance is also better on the MacBook Air M3

What laptop did you start uni with, and would you buy it again knowing what you know now?
MacBook Air m3. It’s been fine for me and has dealt with everything I need it for. Contemplating whether I should’ve gotten the 13”. I got the 15” and love the bigger screen but it’s less portable it weighs a bit in my rucksack 😅

MacBook Neo: 48 hours in and I’m genuinely blown away
I agree, I would much rather get a refurb M2 or M3 air and forgo the single core performance superiority of the Neo. I had been asking my wife to upgrade from her MacBook 12” for years because the Intel Core i5 1.3Ghz was woefully behind but she said no because the M-series Air was too heavy. When t

Laptop Suggestion for a Design Student
If budget allows, a MacBook Air M3 with 16GB is a solid pick for design, great display and smooth performance. Windows works too if specs are strong. IMS DIA is redefining creative education with its industry-focused curriculum and global exposure.

Best thinkpad for an 850 budget?
Honestly, it's barely noticeable when I compare it to my MacBook Air M3. However, it is not as nice when going outdoors, but indoors looks perfect.

Use ultra wide monitor as two desktops
I’m still rocking dual displays as the MacBook Air M3 I bought in the end supports it well. I know that some ultrawide monitors allow you to put two inputs side by side, so I guess that could always be an option if your hardware supports it. I did not find any software solution for this.

macOS Metal v3 build
I just tried it and unfortunately I'm experiencing terrible latency compared to moonlight-qt (from this PR: https://github.com/moonlight-stream/moonlight-qt/pull/1557). It's a MacBook Air M3 running Sequoia 15.7.5 (yes, I know, but it's a work Mac and they lock the version). However, the colors are
