MacBook Air M3

Apple will probably be on the M9 chips by the time I feel the need to replace my M3 Air. This thing just doesn't stop.

I would recommend getting a MacBook Air m3 or m4. would serve you well long term. With ai picking up everywhere, it’s possible you might have to do stuff in future that requires running local models. Even Claude code workflows can get hungry depend on what you’re doing. For a 5 year horizon - go big

It will work but R is memory hungry. Look for a used / Refurbished Air with 16GB RAM. Apple has it for 750, you can find an M3 Air for about $600 on eBay if you look carefully. You can also add AppleCare to one of those for piece of mind.

My old ASUS was too slow, so I got a MacBook Air M3 and decided to stick with macOS for optimal performance and battery life.

Get a used MacBook Air m3, for the price you really won't get better than that and they last 5+ years

a laptop is always better than a tablet. if you already have a good laptop go for it ipad, if not go for macbook air m3 and above. an iphone and a macbook will complete your apple ecosystem.

I use Paralles on my MacBook Air M3 and I love it. Moving back and forth between OS and Windows is smooth and easy.

Open the activity monitor and check what's eating that much. I assume it is chrome you have some extensions too they eat resources too.I am on MacBook Air m3 as well and I never restart it or turn it off and I leave stuff open overnight with no issues so far. I avoid using chrome though. I use Safar

Same. I got a Magic Keyboard for my M3 Air and I ended up giving my windows laptop to my aunt. I might eventually get a MacBook, but right now this combo fits my needs perfectly.
