Base config on the M5 MacBook Pro is still 16GB RAM. With all the stuff running in the background, they should have bumped base RAM up to at least 24GB. 16gb is enough on a MacBook but not really windows. I’d recommend looking on BackMarket and buying the best spec’d machine in your budget. An older MacBook Pro would be the best, if you don’t mind Apple. Even with a base M1 Pro, you can do nearly everything especially if you optimize with proxies.
