Apple CEO Tim Cook says late Apple cofounder Steve Jobs gave him this unforgettable advice before handing over the reins as CEO: "Never ask what I would do"

I’d argue there was more of a noticeable change when Ive left, than Jobs. Without Jobs, Apple continued as usual with a different style of keynotes. When Ive left, Apple's ENTIRE design language and philosophy changed almost overnight. Their products went from luxury museum pieces that traded off fe

Notebookcheck | Apple MacBook Air 15 M5 Review - Very powerful, fanless and without competition

Ever since I got the 12” fanless MacBook back in 2016, I was completely sold on fanless laptops for my personal laptop at home. You don’t realize how annoying laptop fans can be until you use a laptop without them. Even the quiet ones… I can still hear the high pitched sound… bleh After my MacBook h

An appreciation

I think you cannot truly appreciate modern Macs until you try apple silicon. If you liked an Intel Mac, the apple silicon variants are significantly faster, quieter, cooler, with insane battery life. The best 16" intel MacBook Pro was basically overshadowed by the cheapest M1 MacBook Air. That is ho

Why does a Windows laptop feel slower than a MacBook.. even when both have the same RAM?

Here a sample of games, watch the videos on YouTube. Fun fact apple can maintain these performances on battery only while windows laptops that aren't plugged in will see a throttling of performance due to the wattage needed to run the cpu and GPU at full power which can't be pulled via the battery a

Sigh...Hate to say this but i am so close to getting Macbook

I agree. For all my personal stuff, I use MacOS. For the office, Windows, since I consider most Windows computers to be disposable assets. I think that’s the main difference — Windows: junk worthy. Apple: valuable junk. I like my Apple computers to last many years — and they do. My office converted

Why do people still prefer Apple laptops over cheaper Windows machines?

lol these days Apple laptops have way better specs than most windows. And the few windows laptops that can compete with a MacBook pro weigh like 30 pounds and need to be plugged in and sound like an airliner taking off.

I got super close to beating the M4 Max.

Apple used liquid cooling in select high-end Power Mac G5 models between 2004 and 2005 will it in M6 Macs? The only time the M chips really got so hot that the fans can't handle it anymore is the M5 Max chip in the 14" MacBook Pro, and only in heavy workloads. Apple didn't even use liquid cooling on

What’s the right product for me?

The configuration I was recommending is actually 24/512, so a fairly decent deal in today’s insane memory/storage market. The Apple Silicon chips have much better processing power to wattage ratios than those old Intel stovetop burner units. (I say this having gone from a 16” i7 MacBook Pro to the 1

Which MacBook for Adobe CC and Cinema 4D?

What you listed...After Effects, Lightroom, Cinema 4D...all have one need in common: Multicore performance for both CPU and GPU. (Consumer apps like Microsoft Office and Apple Photos do not need those very much and would be fine on a MacBook Neo with its fast single-core performance.) Cinema 4D will

Laptop Rec for USA college student. $1000USD>

Yup, that'll do it. To give you more details, in the late 2010s Intel's innovation progress stalled severely and apple was using Intel for their processors. Then in 2020 apple switched away from Intel processors and started designing their own "apple silicon" processors based on the architecture of
