The New Apple Finally Begins to Emerge

The neo announcement was the most obvious introduction to PC owners that I’ve ever seen I just switched my girlfriend over from a surface pro to a MacBook Pro, and the transition is more seamless than it’s ever been Apple is gonna try to take over every single market that PC has. Starting with educa

Apple CEO Tim Cook says late Apple cofounder Steve Jobs gave him this unforgettable advice before handing over the reins as CEO: "Never ask what I would do"

I’d argue there was more of a noticeable change when Ive left, than Jobs. Without Jobs, Apple continued as usual with a different style of keynotes. When Ive left, Apple's ENTIRE design language and philosophy changed almost overnight. Their products went from luxury museum pieces that traded off fe

My take

I retired my Windows gaming PC for an M4 Max MacBook Pro last year. I have had very, very few issues with games, either natively or in Crossover. This thing's a screamer and I wish Apple would do something to encourage Mac gaming.

Why are Intel Macs still so insanely expensive??

The fact that they still natively support Linux and Windows, as well as eGPU (or internal for the Mac Pro) while being Macs still is what props them up still. Even older MacBook pros still command a decent margin because of their greater memory and storage configs over comparable used Apple Silicon

Notebookcheck | Apple MacBook Air 15 M5 Review - Very powerful, fanless and without competition

Ever since I got the 12” fanless MacBook back in 2016, I was completely sold on fanless laptops for my personal laptop at home. You don’t realize how annoying laptop fans can be until you use a laptop without them. Even the quiet ones… I can still hear the high pitched sound… bleh After my MacBook h

If I had to guess what a MacBook ultra OLED would be. It would be something like this.

Everybody here is hating on it for being touch and calling it a gimmick. Saving this thread for next year when the rumoured OLED touchscreen MacBook Pro comes out. “Well, Apple is better because they waited 10 years to make it perfect!”

Here's How Much Faster MacBook Air Gets With M5 Chip vs. M4 Chip

It’s amazing how far Apple has moved me down the chip line. I started using Macs on a Power Mac G5 dual 1.8Ghz in 2004. At the time? That was just sort of expected if you were serious about photo or video. That G5 became a Core2Duo 24” iMac around 2008, which led to a 27” i7 iMac around 2013 which b

Anyone try MacOS - and come back to Windows?

I use macOS, Windows, and a variety of Linux distros, sometimes on bare metal or in a VM. I really enjoy the integration of the Apple ecosystem and the battery life-to-performance ratio of my MacBook Pro M1 Max. When it comes to gaming or certain software products, I use my Windows desktop. The vari

Is this a good or bad idea?

Why could it be a bad idea? Apple stopped updating the os. With Fedora you at least have potentially infinite updates. And it runs better on Fedora than on latest macOS. At least from my experience. I have a MacBook Pro 2015. It was close to impossible to use it after the Big Sur update. Fedora brou

how can i prevent my macbook keyboard from becoming like this?

I said it once and I’ll say it again: no idea what Apple did to the keyboard. But my 13 year old MacBook Pro that I use heavily since release doesn’t look as bad. It actually almost looks new. Apart from the letter A fading.
