Apple Studio Display XDR Review: We're All Pros Now!
For $3000+ they might as well throw it in there. The Studio display in general is super overengineered if you watched the teardown, just like the $999 Pro Stand hinge mechanism. I guess that's what Apple does on their high end products when they aren't held back by a specific price point

Upgrading iMac to VESA mount with official Apple parts - DIY
Yeah it's pretty user-hostile. I think the idea is that you buy a new device if you want the VESA mount. I'm sure they sold several hundred extra Studio Displays for just this reason.

Appple Studio Display owners, is it really worth that high price?
I think it was the right choice for me, but I don't think it's worth the price. Or at least, I wouldn't list "bang per buck" as a feature. I wanted it because it reportedly used the same panel as my 5k imac, so I knew what I was getting. But the downside to that is that in 2025, we're still paying "

Mac Studio and Studio Display Turn Three Today
The tech in the studio display feels so ancient it's hard to believe it's only three years old.

Apple and Intel Rumored to Partner on Mac Chips Again in a New Way
End of an era. According to Wikipedia, iPad is the last product they announced with an "i" prefix. This was back in 2010. I doubt they'll ever release a new "i" product again that isn't an accessory to an already existing "i" product. It's unfortunate because it really was such good branding. Now th

I wonder why people really don’t prefer iMacs anymore?
There are cheaper 5k panels coming into the market now. The new ASUS is £699. Granted it’s a plastic body but I’d imagine Apple can get the same panel into a nicer body for not a lot more. They’d have to upgrade the studio display a fair bit though or it’d demolish those sales

2026 APPLE DISPLAY VS EIZO
My ideal setup includes an Apple Display somewhere on set as most people who see the pictures online will watch them on a bright glossy display (smartphones, MacBook etc...).Apple Displays are fiddly to use on set because of their ports. It is not as easy as buying a 10 meters HDMI or DisplayPort ca

2026 APPLE DISPLAY VS EIZO
No legacy I/O Non-detachable power cable (I know it kind of is) No easy wireless solution No physical OSD controls High price for a 10yr old display panel Premium to get matte Personally, I'd go for one of the new Asus Pro Art models before I'd go for Studio Displays. Just a better return on investm

Actually loving the new standard Studio Display?
The thing is, it’s not that it’s inherently bad. It’s that we should be able to get a whole lot more for that price point. We have the original studio display which is basically the same as the new studio display. It’s certainly not bad but it has all of the normal IPS issues like poor uniformity wi

Studio Display XDR Owners: Thoughts so far?
Another thing reviewers don’t talk about much at all, is that the bezel thickness of the Studio Display XDR, which is the same as the regular Studio Display, which is actually thicker than the old Pro XDR Display. To give you an example, it should be roughly 6–8 cm. Right now I’m typing this on a 20
