There are cheaper 5k panels coming into the market now. The new ASUS is £699. Granted it’s a plastic body but I’d imagine Apple can get the same panel into a nicer body for not a lot more. They’d have to upgrade the studio display a fair bit though or it’d demolish those sales

It really should’ve just replaced the Studio Display. The improvements are all what you’d expect for a $1600 monitor over 4 years
