Apple unveils new Studio Display and all-new Studio Display XDR
The "new" Studio Display is dead on arrival. It's a lcd 5k 60hz panel for $1599, while there are plenty of high refresh rate miniled 5k panels for like half the price. Apple really fumbled with this one

Apple unleashes M5, the next big leap in AI performance for Apple silicon
I want to point out the M5 macbook pro has only TB4, while the M4Pro/Max macbooks have TB5. This might affect you if you're planning to run 5k/6k@120hz displays which would require TB5. The rumoured studio display, if it does have 120hz, might require this (or a hacky 2x plug into the tb4 ports). Th

Apple discontinues the Mac Pro with no plans for future hardware
Yeah I don’t get it. A Mac Studio should have plenty of room for multiple m.2 drives but yet we have to have external drives or enclosures sitting on the desk next to the Mac. I love Apple but they are ridiculous with this. I want a Mac Pro specifically for the ability to add storage or whatever int

Most favorite Apple product and least favorite
My favourite is iPhone Air, or 5c if we can go back that far. I simply like the feel when holding them. Least favourite is Studio Display as well, that crappy 60hz is just terrible if you’ve seen anything decent.

Actually loving the new standard Studio Display?
The thing is, it’s not that it’s inherently bad. It’s that we should be able to get a whole lot more for that price point. We have the original studio display which is basically the same as the new studio display. It’s certainly not bad but it has all of the normal IPS issues like poor uniformity wi

Why DELL is not focussed on 5k 27' monitor like almost every other brand?
I have two Dell monitors and one lasted almost 10 years (still using it for my Nintendo Switch), so for me they are reliable. If they Dell ever makes a 5k 120hz, it will 100% be one of my options for upgrading my Studio Display. Yes, I may potentially lose some connectivity features with the Mac but

Monitor wake-up speeds
One thing that surprised me when I tried my Studio Display XDRs is that they have a surprisingly slow wake up time. Probably a few seconds at least. My assumption before I bought them is that they would have had a near instant wake up time, considering their tight ecosystem integration with my Mac.

MBP 16 inch display ruined me, is Studio Display XDR my only option?
Generally, my experience using the old studio display on Mac just wasn’t ideal. I also really don’t recommend these Apple monitors as gaming monitors because the studio display xdr but also the original studio display and new version of the bass studio display seemingly do no overdrive so everything

Apple’s upgraded AirPods Max 2 headphones now available for pre-order with April 1 delivery
I don't think they care about increasing number of customers on this product, just like the 2026 Studio Display still having 60 Hz. 😂

Is there any reason to purchase the M4 iMac over the M4 Pro MacBook? Besides screen size.
The edge lit 60Hz one input studio display is 3200 NZD…. Probably the worst value product apple sells atm. The XDR is like 7k lol, more than my macbook pro and gaming PC put together. Not quite the same segment as a slightly larger imac
