What would you do differently with your next Plex Server?
I would set it up exactly like I have it now: ASUS NUC 14 Pro (ultra 7, 32GB ram) running Ubuntu + Docker on mirrored NVMEs. Synology DS running SHR with 52 TB spinning disk storage, with caching drive. NFS mounted, pass through iGPU. Beast mode, fast, stable, lots of streams, 4K, whatever. I have a

Hardware recommendation for 8 cameras + Nextcloud/Jellyfin - frustrated with current setup
I started with a minisforum PC, and it was okay but failed after a year. Frustrated and willing to pay for something that I figured less likely to just go tits up in a year, I got a NUC 14 Pro. I have been pleased with the performance. Intel 155H processor, 64GB RAM, has no problem keeping up with m

What is the best minipc brand now widely loved on the market? (Beelink, AceMagic, Geekom, GMKtec, Minisforum, Aoostar)
u/Cocoatech0 you did not include ASUS, which has long been an industry stalwart and now includes the NUC product line. We offer both ASUS NUC products and ASUS mini PC solutions. Some items you may not consider, and others you may not detail, are Warranty: All ASUS mini PC and NUC products have a 3-

NUC14 or NUC15 only: Has anyone had the Power Surge issue on the Thunderbolt ports?
Later edit: After powering the nuc off and keeping it without power 2 mins, TB4 works again, it was a m$ bug and driver crashed. My nuc works 24/7 Both my TB4 ports on my NUC 14 Pro+ 125H died. I returned a type-c to DP cable for nothing, I just tested both ports with a dock and they are dead.

USB-C Failure on newer Asus 15 NUCs
Had both TB4/USB4 ports dead on my NUC 14 Pro+ 125H. Fix was shutdown the pc, take out PSU, press power button, connect the PSU, start. Is amazing how premium stuff like this fails like an ordinary China no name pc.

HDD 5tb, Asus Nuc 14 pro, Tall
I'm glad you read it, I hope it was useful! Overall, it's a good system—it's always-on, but it's moved to being a mini-server, so it's not on my desk. It's reasonably efficient, I'd recommend it. Of note, the NUC 14 Pro is the last version to include support for 2.5" 15mm drives, the NUC 15 Pro remo

MiniPC without any problem , does it exist ?
I bought and Asus Nuc 14 pro+ and have the same experience. Paid a whole lot more for similar performance than some of these other brands, but I was willing to do it for my own use case. I didn't want failing ports or dying. Motherboards a year or so after the purchase. But I understand why people g

Geekom IT-15 or Asus NUC 15?
I have the Asus Nuc 14 pro +, and it's an excellent mini PC. I knew I was paying considerably more money for the same specs that I could get cheaper, but I wanted long-term reliability, the 3-year warranty, and a website that was clear and useful to install the proper drivers and get my questions an

I wanna upgrade to a new mini pc
I can throw some suggestions out but this is just one person's opinion. Top tier reliability and support: Dell, HP, Lenovo, Asus. These won't be competitive in price performance against the mass produced units, but they are the gold standard for reliability and support. Some of the mass produced com

Moving from the Plex container on my DS920 to a Beelink running Plex on Ubuntu has changed my entire worldview
I did this a few months ago too (also using a DS920) with a NUC 14 Pro, super happy I did. So much better and more reliable.
