ROG Kithara

If you have to have a headset, the Asus/Hifiman Kithara is the best bang for the buck gaming headset on the market, hands down. A used pair of Beyerdynamic MMX300s are hella decent as well.

My brother in audio... I loooooove Gadgetrytech, but $300+ for a pair of Astros is absolute madness. That is Asus Kithara/ Hifiman XS money. That's an entirely different realm.

Turtle Beach Atlas Air is the only wireless gaming headset I know of that is open back. As for closed back headsets, there's the Fractal Scape, which is a great headset for sound quality.
