Post 1000mbit from ISP - how to squeeze the most out of it using XE75Pro?
What else is in front of the AC-68u? The ISP speeds you’re talking about (1,000 —> 1,200 Mbps) sound like DOCSIS cable speeds, so is there a cable modem (or ISP router in bridge mode) sitting in front? For simplicity, I will call this device a modem (even though it may be an ISP gateway device) sinc

Como escolher um roteador? (eeeeeeeeeeeee)

Updating my home network
I believe Merlinwrt is much like the Asus stock (it's what Merlin is based off of) but with just a few added tweaks like better vlan configurations and multiple wireless lan configuration and SSH access and better firewall configuration, and VPN. That's pretty much the same with freshtomato, it give

Don't see a good reason to upgrade Asus RT-AC68U other than updates
Ive had one for a while too - until area offered 2Gig Fiber - so i needed to upgrade the router since ports were only 1gig (and everything else in the house also eneded refreshing to support to at least 2.5g) to achieve advertised speeds; So I ended up getting into pfsense on a minipc with dual SFP+

Dynamic IPv6 firewall configuration
i found a used asus rt ac68u and damn it's a sweet deal. i get a flash storage of 256mb to experiment with openwrt packages... The problem is though that it has broadcom drivers, so no wifi, so i had to use a dumb ap. seeing a lot of people use openwrt is so wholesome!

RT-AX55 Limitations vs RT-AC68u
TL;DR: Since you stated you need Adaptive QoS, then you should probably leave the RT-AC68U as the router, add the RT-AX55 as a mesh node and call it a day. Other thoughts: To learn more about AiMesh, this is a great resource: https://dongknows.com/tips-and-rules-on-picking-the-best-asus-aimesh-combo

Replacement for Nokia 3.1 Router
What's your opinion on using two older ASUS routers with AiMesh? Getting EBOX in a few weeks and wondering if AiMesh using a RT-AC86U and RT-AC68U will get the job done, or is simply outdated.

Very bad performance of new Asus Router RT-BE86U
I was thinking about upgrading my 2 routers from an AC68U (main router) and an AC66U (bridge) to 2 new BE86Us. My AC66U was on the latest Merlin FW but kept having issues. I found a newer official FW from asus and flashed that and performed a reset after the flash. It seems to be stable now. My AC68

ASUS RT-AC68U weird crashes during Milano-Cortina
Yeah, at some point I have to figure something out for my parents if they stay in their house. I have them set up with an ASUS RT-N66U router in the basement with two TP-Link AC routers set as APs, but a mesh system using gigabit Ethernet for backhaul would probably be better than the hodge-podge th
