Spotty internet after upgrading to fiber.

Your Linksys 7450 went End-Of-Life in 2023, and all support will cease in November 2028. Latest available firmware is dated 2021, so it's a significant security risk. It's only WiFi 5 standard, new Routers are either WiFi 6 or WiFi 7. Do yourself a favour and spring for a new router. You may want to

Giga Hub 2.0

Disable WIFI completely, and go buy a quality ASUS Wi-Fi 7-enabled router. The Asus RT-BE58U model is very affordable and packed with many useful features.

Time for new router

If you want to stay with ASUS, some good upgrade options to WiFi 6 include ASUS RT-AX86U Pro (if available in your region, otherwise just AX86U), or ASUS RT-AX58U (RT-AX3000) for a lower cost option. For WiFi 7: If you don't need the 6ghz band of WiFi 7 then ASUS RT-BE58U is a good entry level route

RT-BE58U vs. RTBE82U for 2.4 GHz?

They are very similar: https://www.asus.com/my/product-compare?ProductID=26424,30794&LevelId=Networking-IoT-Servers-WiFi-7 Main differences: RT-BE82U has five 2.5gb ports and a 4x4 antenna for 5ghz (instead of 2x2 on RT-BE58U). They are both dual-band WiFi 7 routers (2.4ghz & 5ghz bands) with the sa

UK DSL Router / Wifi 6 Needed?

Even FTTC should be getting you better available speeds than what you got. It's hard to imagine they're running DSL from the fiber on the curb to your home. You should get a decent router regardless of your Internet speed, for a few reasons. First, longer term firmware support. Buying a NEW WiFi 5 r

Network Switch Suggestion?

You seem to be missing the router. The PM5311-TO is an ONT. It converts GPON to a single Ethernet jack. It doesn't have a router so you can't connect a switch to its Ethernet jack. It doesn't provide WiFi either, so I'm not sure how the WX3110-B1 extender is working. Good news is you should be able

Bell broke my local Plex connection... Again.

Never ever use the Modem's firewall features. Go get yourself an Asus RT-BE58U WiFi 7 router, use the DMZ/Bridge mode, and never worry about Modem firmware updates again. You will also gain extra security features such as VPN server/client capabilities, which you'll want for when Bill C-22 passes, a

What am I missing? I’m considering 940mbps plan in Seattle.

I don't think you need to break the bank. For commercial off the shelf options I like Asus (I like the capability to install 3rd party firmware Asuswrt-merlin, if you're into that). ASUS RT-AX-3000 https://a.co/d/5IIKmnf ASUS RT-BE58U https://a.co/d/gPb3Az9 TP-link has some good affordable high rate

Routers?

I got the Asus RT-BE58U yesterday. It’s dual band WiFi 7 and not full tri-band but I don’t mind for 150$ on Amazon. The coverage is very good. I’m getting 200 to 700mbs on my iPhone around the house. The Nokia router was struggling on WiFi like many said.

Best WiFi 6 router right now for a busy household?

What you are describing is quite light usage, I don't see why a router woiod be having issues with this. What do you mean by the router is choking? I think you may be throwing money at a problem that doesn't exist, but if you want new equipment, you can get WiFi 7 in your price range. https://www.be
