Is this overkill for modded minecraft?

Why do people still buy ASUS laptops? Serious question.
I got an ASUS TUF A14 because it was listed in a back to school special and my 10-year old MacBook can’t upgrade its OS unless I uninstall office, bless its heart. If it lasts me 2 years it’ll get me through my studies. If it last me 5+ years it’ll have been a good investment for the cheap lil gamin
