Update on my headphones comment from yesterday, I ordered the Audio-Technica ATH-R50x. Less than 200 bucks so not that expensive all things considered. I've never used open back headphones before but they probably suit my needs better since I prioritize comfort and don't care much for noise cancelat

HD 480 Pro
Oh yes, I am newer to the hobby but I have compared back and forth my couple of inexpensive open backs with the momentum 4, a couple of earbuds and IEMS I understand we shouldn’t compare passive to active headphones, but when talking specifically about what sounds better, that shouldn’t matter. For

Steelseries arctis pro+gamdac
Proper headphone such as Audio Technica ATH-R50X or Sennheiser HD560s is miles better. But cod has shitty audio design, good headphones can't fix that

Best beginner audiophile headset setup?
I'd skip HD 600 for sure, 6XX is good value for $200 but if you are fine with getting Hifiman Sundara > 6XX and EDXS > Sundara, so grab an EDXS 560S is also good option, great price, so is Audio Technica ATH-R50x and FiiO JT7 but if you are fine with getting Hifiman you can't beat hifiman sound, the

Please help me pick my next gaming headset.
The Astros seemed like the perfect headphones to me until I realised just how heavy the are.. most gaming headphones are actually too heavy for me so I started trying a bunch of open back lightweight studio headphones and long story short using the audio technica ath r50x and those are really all yo

Headphones for practice that translate to live use
My suggestion would be to set your tones with your live setup at live db levels. Then, to practice, plug in whatever studio headphones your budget will allowed without changing anything even if it sounds "worse" to you. Just tell yourself its practice time and not tweaking time ;). I go with beyerdy

Headphones primarily for music, 200-250 range?
You might want to consider the Audio Technica R50x headphone ($150 to $170 US) with OEM Replacement R70x pads ($30) which do fit, but are a bit roomier. That is one of the set ups that I have and it sounds great.
