Advice on my first (modest) home theatre

If you like Audioengine, then upgrade to the HD6. Out of budget, but you can save up for it. You already have the subwoofer. You did not mention if you eventually want to go to 5.1 or higher, so that is why I said stick with Audioengine.

Got my first turntable today! Excited to play my favorite albums on it.

I’ve got the Audioengine HD6 and love them. Bluetooth with digital-to analog-converter so I can stream Spotify, and built in amp. A few years after purchasing, the Bluetooth only put out one channel. I contacted them and they replaced the “guts” of the speaker for free with the new aptX HD with no h

Decent cheap small full range speakers?

The little PAM8406 class AB amp module I got off aliexpress runs my Audioengine HD6 bookshelf speakers really well... They say it's only 5W but it doesn't even get toasty running those loud enough to hear from the street. 5W is more than you think. If you want small and portable I recommend it - you

Razer clio and leviathan v2

Sorry you haven’t had any luck. I like mine. No issues with a Leviathan v2 Pro or when I switched to an AudioEngine HD6 speaker with subwoofer. I don’t use it all the time, but gaming has been zero issues.

HiFi speaker / audiophile store?

Until two months ago I had Audioengine HD6 speakers which I thought were good, but for only a few hundred dollars more the ELAC and WiiM combo blows them away. I'm officially converted to passive speakers so then you're able to swap the amp and DAC portions out.

what record player and monitors should i get

the thing about true studio monitors (as opposed to active speakers) is that you'll probably want some way to attenuate the volume on both simultaneously, like a pre-amp. So that adds to the cost. Personally I'd stick to "active"/self-amplified speakers that include a remote control. recommendation

Active speakers for a simple living room setup at around 1500$

This won't be the most popular option, but Audioengine makes very good active speakers. The HD6 speakers sound amazing, have all the connections you need, and have great high quality Bluetooth. You'll most likely need a subwoofer. The S8 is okay, but the RSL Speedwoofer 10e is generally considered b

Upgraded my turntable, speakers are next. Seeking guidance.

You need an amp if your speakers are not powered. Most powered speakers are bookshelf units that may not fill your space as you'd like. These may work, especially if you add the sub. (Audioengine HD-6). This could work too. (Triangle Br-04 and Cambridge Audio amp).
